Evaluations

Comprehensive Evaluations

Assess learning disabilities, attention, language challenges, behavioral issues, social and emotional functioning, giftedness, learning style and potential.

All evaluations include:

  • Intake session to discuss the history and presenting difficulties

  • Consultation and collaboration with school and outside professionals (with permission)

  • Individualized Assessment Batteries

  • Development of specific school strategies and remediation plans

  • Feedback session to discuss the evaluation in a timely manner with parents and/or students in a relaxed, sensitive, and motivating way to engage them in the treatment, self-care, and self-advocacy.

In addition, Dr. Striar is available to attend school meetings, including the Committee on Special Education (CSE), to serve as an advocate for your child.  She can assist with developing appropriate goals and will work collaboratively with your child's school to develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan that best meets your child's specific needs. Attending school meetings is an additional fee.
